A clean and green environment is a basic ideology in sustainable development. All the students, teachers and other staff members of Miri Piri Academy wholeheartedly participated in the ‘Cleanliness Drive: A community clean-up campaign’ organized at the Summer Palace, Amritsar on 9th June, 2023. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to participate as a school community together and was initiated by the grade 6/7 students. 

The main objective of holding this campaign was not just to clean the surrounding, but also to create awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness. It was also a way to inculcate the habit of Seva and understanding our responsibility towards society. It was a collaborative effort to clean the local environment and the need for community members to be good stewards of their environment. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” It was perhaps a small step, but initiative is important.
