For the first time, Miri Piri Academy is offering a women’s camp at Dasmesh Sadan, the home of Yogi Bhajan, in Anandpur Sahib. The camp will start at Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar and together we’ll travel to Anandpur Sahib for five full days of practice and togetherness. After that, we’ll travel back to Miri Piri Academy and spend two days visiting the Golden Temple and other sacred sites.
There is wealth and depth of information in the Women’s teachings in Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan which reflects the respect given to the divine feminine in Sikhism. Our program is an exploration and practice of both Kundalini Yoga and Sikhi. Our activities will include a lot of walking as we visit local sites.

Why Enroll?

  • Taking a break from the demands of daily life to focus on oneself and one’s spiritual practice is essential. One week is not enough but it’s a start!
  • This time together will include many practices and togetherness, including a daily recitation of Sukhmani Sahib, the Jewel of Peace, composed by Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
  • All women are invited, including teenagers 13 and older (accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Shanti Kaur
USA

Brings Khalsa values to every aspect of life. She is an engaging Sikh teacher and her involvement with Sikh youth has led to mentoring young people around the world. Shanti spent 20+ years studying with Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji who inspired her on the path of Sikhism.

Sukhdev Kaur
Estonia/Mexico

Pioneered to Estonia from her homeland of Mexico in 2004. She became the youngest Level 1 and Level 2 lead trainer in Europe, and travels to teach across Europe and Mexico. In 2016, she received KRI honours for her service in Estonia. Sukhdev established the Dharamsaal, School of Kundalini Yoga and Humanology in Tallinn, and the Guru Ram Das Institute and Ashram in Rajamaa, Estonia.

Japjeet Kaur
Canada

Japjeet Kaur Khalsa is the Executive Director of Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India. She has been facilitating Women’s Camp for 3HO in Espanola, New Mexico since 2014. Japjeet has a Master’s Degree in Private School Leadership from Teacher’s College, Columbia University and is passionate about creating opportunities for sangat to gather together and practice the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma.

Rupinder Kaur
India

Rupinder Kaur is a Gurmukhi teacher born and brought up in Amritsar, the holy city of Sikhi. She teaches Gurmukhi and the correct pronunciation of Japji Sahib and Kundalini Yoga mantras all over the world to students of all ages. For the past 12 years she has taught Gurmukhi comprehension, speaking, and writing at Miri Piri Academy.

Full registration fees are due 1 month before the start of the event, by January 15th, 2023. We will send you an invoice to complete your payment after you register with your deposit. The deposit is apart of the full registration fee.

Early Registration (before January 1st): $1248 USD / $1,174.20 EUR / ₹94,620 INR

Regular Fee (after January 1st): $1348 USD / $1388.44 EUR / ₹111,884 INR

Refund policy: A full refund is payable up to 30 days before the start of event, and is 75% refundable less than 30 days before the start of the event.

Our 8-day camp program will begin on the evening of February 15th and run through the 23rd.

Arrival Dates: Women can arrive at MPA on February 14th and 15th to settle in.

Departure Date: February 24th from MPA. MPA can provide transportation to the Amritsar airport.

MPA will provide transportation to/from Amritsar airport and campus. Taxis are available from/to the airport if MPA cannot offer transport at that time, or if your flight is delayed.

Non-Indian residents must get a tourist visa to come to India. Please contact your local Indian consulate for more information. Many countries are able to obtain an Indian tourist visa electronically. MPA will provide a letter of invitation if needed upon request.

Accommodations are shared both at MPA and Anandpur Sahib. You may specify who you would like to room with on the registration form. All bedding will be provided. The diet is lacto-vegetarian.

Please bring:

Conservative clothes for 7 days, including head covers
Good walking shoes
Sheep skin, yoga mats
Toiletries
Personal medication
Water bottle (we have plenty of filtered water)

What not to bring:

Any refrigerated food (we can provide for any medication that needs to be refrigerated)
Any shelf-stable egg or meat products
Alcohol, drugs, e-cigs or vape pens
Plates, cups or utensils
Sleeping bags or pillows
