For the first time Miri Piri Academy is welcoming the wider community to join our students in Amritsar for the authentic MPA experience. The camp will be taught by Jugat Guru Singh Khalsa, Sada Sat Simran Singh Khalsa, Shanti Kaur Khalsa, Rajveer Singh, and local music and Santhya masters. Be prepared to join our students for an intensive five day immersive experience including:

  • Daily Parkarma Seva at the Golden Temple
  • Humanology Classes
  • Kundalini Yoga Classes
  • Gurbani Kirtan
  • Gurbani Santhya
  • Gatka and other Martial Arts
  • Fun and Games!

October 1st is the registration deadline. USD 450 will cover your lodging, meals, classes and transportation for five days. All profits will benefit Miri Piri Academy and our students.

Who is this camp for?

This camp is intended to give adults age 17+ the Miri Piri Experience. Everyone is welcome regardless of prior experience or knowledge. Children between the ages of 11 and 16 who are thinking about enrollment at MPA may also take the opportunity to join the student body for five days for a trial period during the camp. Parents with younger children will have to provide their own childcare. Translation during classes will be provided if possible, depending on language resources available among our staff and students.

How much will it cost?

The total cost for the camp will be USD 400 if you pre-register by August 1st and $450 after that date. This includes all lodging, meals, classes and transportation to and from the hotel to campus daily. All profits will be donated to benefit Miri Piri Academy and our students. Payment may be made online through paypal using the button above. If your plans change, full refunds will be available until September 1st.

Food and Lodging

Double occupancy rooms will be provided at the hotel one block from the Golden Temple and we will transport the whole group back and forth from MPA each day. We will be mostly eating meals with the students or langar at the hotel. All meals will be vegetarian and primarily Indian cuisine. Gluten free options will be available.

Dates and Travel

Officially the camp will run from Monday, October 15th to Friday, October 19th. However, we want everyone to arrive by Sunday, October 14th, at 4:00PM to check-in and be ready for orientation and dinner together. We recommend flying directly into Amritsar if possible. Otherwise there are many more flight options through Delhi. We will provide everyone with details for transportation to the hotel after registration.

What should I bring?

A detailed list will be mailed to all registrants at the beginning of September so that you will have plenty of time to prepare for your journey.

Teachers

  • Jugat Guru Singh Khalsa

    Jugat Guru Singh Khalsa is a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Lead Teacher Trainer for Level 1 and Level 2 at Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India. From his childhood, he was guided by Yogi Bhajan, and has dedicated his life to serving the mission of Yogi Bhajan by helping to shape the next generation into leaders and teachers of this amazing technology. Jugat Guru Singh has studied and practiced sound and Naad under several masters in India for the last 15 years, and has been mentored by Guru Dev Singh. Jugat Guru Singh is the principal of Miri Piri Academy, and a member of the Chardi Kala Jetha who travel extensively teaching and performing Kirtan around the world and at the Golden Temple.

  • Sada Sat Simran Singh Khalsa

    Born into a 3HO family and raised as a Sikh, SS Sada Sat Simran Singh Khalsa has spent most of his life under the guidance of this lifestyle. He went to boarding school in India at 9 and graduated from Miri Piri Academy in 1999. At the age of 18 he was sent back to India by the Siri Singh Sahib to further his studies in martial arts, the Sikh lifestyle, and Gurbani Kirtan/Naad Yoga. He trained under his Ustad Ji for over 10 years. Sada Sat Simran Singh has been blessed to be a member of the Chardi Kala Jatha and sing Gurbani Kirtan inside the Harimandir Sahib (the Golden Temple) many times since 2001. He maintains his practice of Kundalini Yoga and Naad Yoga and is always honored to share his experiences. He is also a board member of Sikh Dharma International.

  • Shanti Kaur Khalsa

    Shanti Kaur Khalsa is a wife, mother and business consultant who brings Khalsa values to every aspect of life. She is an engaging Sikh teacher and her involvement with Sikh youth has led to mentoring young people around the world. Shanti spent more than twenty years studying with Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji who inspired her on the path of Sikhism. She is an active kirtania and has traveled widely giving inspirational kirtan and lecture programs

  • Rajveer Singh Khalsa

    Rajveer Singh from Singapore began to study the ancient science of Kundalini yoga, meditation and self mastery from a young age under the guidance of Yogi Bhajan in the United States of America. Since 1998, he has been teaching in Singapore and Malaysia and has dedicated his life to bringing this sacred science to South-east Asians. Rajveer’s classes are an experience filled with yoga, meditation, music, and celebration of the human spirit. His goal is to provide a moving transformation of your entire being beyond stress, worry and tension and into a world of peace beyond time and space.
