This Saturday, the sixth of the month, I joined our students on a trip to play kirtan at the Akal Takhat. Our students play kirtan at the Akal Takhat every month to commemorate the memory of the 1984 Akal Takhat attack. This is a great way for our school to reach out to the Amritsar community. This month we had our physics teacher James, Guru Antar, and Mandeep playing for the first time at the Akal Takhat. Playing with them was Shiva, Guru Kirat, and Gurjot.
After the trip we went and ate at my favorite restaurant, Brahwan Da Dhaba. A trip to the Golden Temple is never complete without stuffing yourself with deliciously oily Indian food.
