Last Sunday the students came together to fully clean our Gurdwara. Like an army of seva ants we rolled up the carpets and carried them to the playground. At the playground we cleaned the rugs the old fashioned way by beating them with sticks and shaking them till they were dust free. Meanwhile students washed the marble floor of the Gurdwara by pouring water form buckets and then squigying them dry. After washing the floor a group polished the Palki Sahib with brass polish making sure it shone as a student climbed a ladder on the outside of the windows to make sure they were sparkling clean as well.
We finished the seva fast and efficiently . When our students put their minds to something they get it done.
