Yesterday was Valentines day and Shabd’s Global Perspectives class participated in an online anti nuclear weapon campaign run by an NGO called Global Zero. The idea of this campaign is simple, people around the world will take pictures with things that they love and that could be destroyed by nuclear warfare. This is an attempt to raise awareness and create buzz online to promote Global Zero’s goal of disarming nuclear weapons world wide.
At MPA we love and cherish Amritsar and the Golden Temple, so we decide to take our photo there. Students were excited for this opportunity to make a difference and happily jumped on board with the project.
Thank you Shabd for making this happen!
