This Monday, January 13th we celebrated the Lohri festival. This holiday marks the departure of the winter season and its celebrated by having a big bonfire into which sesame seeds, gur, peanuts or popcorn are thrown for prosperity and traditionally, to show gratitude for all the good crops of the past year and receive good ones at the welcome of spring.
To celebrate, the entire school went for a movie trip in the morning to watch “47 RONIN” and at night we had a bonfire with sugar cane, popcorn and music. But the best part of this celebration was the surprise the teachers received from the students.
The 12 graders collected mone and bought sweets for each of the teachers and of course brought big smiles and a great energy to start the new semester.
